This was one of my earlier applications.  It was written months before the G1 was released.  I used it to experiment with the Android layout and animation framework.  The layouts and animations are all written in XML.

It uses the Android Media Framework to stream videos from Revision3 and updates directly from Revision3 RSS podcast feeds.

Newer Android devices have the ability to play higher quality video and even output HD video to an external source.
